Amritsar Police busts weapons and drug racket, arrests two people

In a major seizure, Amritsar city police busted a drug and arms racket run by Manpreet Singh’s US-based handler identified as Mannu Muhawa alias Manpreet Singh and arrested two of his accomplices.

According to officials, The accused — Roshan of Khaer village and Sandeep alias Radhi of Amritsar city — They were arrested and the police team seized 19 kg of heroin, seven pistols and drug money of 2.3 million rupees, as well as parts of the drone.

In a press conference in this regard, Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Brar said that Mannu Mahawa officials had recovered a consignment of heroin sent by Pakistan-based smugglers across the border and had not identified anyone. He said the CIA team had received information that it was on its way to the United States.

“A team of CIA Staff 3 acted quickly, conducted a special police search in the area and arrested the two suspects as they waited for someone to deliver the shipment,” he added.

Brar said a case has been registered and further investigation is underway to ascertain the nexus of the accused.
