Amritsar, April 30, 2024: The Admission Portal Training Session was conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University. The joint study with the Punjab Department of Higher Education (DHE) and the Punjab Directorate of Governance and Reforms (DGR) was conducted at the university’s Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan auditorium. The session aimed to familiarize representatives of partner universities with the admission portal for the upcoming academic session 2024-2025.

Dr. Saroj Arora, Dean, University Development Council, inaugurated the training session and warmly welcomed the Punjab officials and nodal officials of various universities.

Dr. Arora emphasized that admission portals play a vital role in ensuring a fair and streamlined admissions process.

The session featured insights from key officials such as Sandeep from the Punjab Department of Public Instruction (DPI), Tarunveer Singh from DGR Technical Support, and Naina Sharma, Punjab DGR Manager. They provided comprehensive information on the functioning of the admission portal and addressed queries from nodal officials.

Ms. Naina Sharma explained the online admission process through an engaging video presentation and encouraged interactive dialogue between university representatives to further streamline the portal.

Feedback on potential improvements to the portal’s efficiency was welcomed and a commitment was made to quickly address any technical challenges.

Dr. Arora reassured the attendees that dedicated support channels including a helpline (phone number 1100) are in place to assist with any issues encountered during the online admission process.

Concluding the session, Mr. Naresh Nandan, System Administrator, Examination Department, and Mr. Aman Arora, Superintendent of Education, thanked all the participants and assured the university’s unwavering cooperation in resolving any technical hurdles. did.
