SAD candidates say they will develop IIMs as hubs for agro-entrepreneurship if voted into power.

Shiksha, a city-based NGO, held a meeting tracing the history of the establishment of IIMs with its officers here today. They mentioned the special contribution of the then Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Punjab Local Government Minister Anil Joshi in establishing the institution.

SAD Lok Sabha candidate Anil Joshi addressed the participants on the occasion and recalled the efforts made towards the establishment of the institute. He said that for the past seven-eight years, there was lack of coordination between the Center and state governments due to which the institute could not achieve its objectives.

Mr. Joshi, if voted to power, will be an agri-entrepreneur who will open new entry points for research in crop diversification, marketing and various other related areas, keeping in mind that Punjab is a key region. He said he would do his best to develop IIM as a center of spiritual excellence. Agricultural nation.

On behalf of Amritsar Vikas Manch (AVM), its officers Dr Charanjit Singh Gumtala, Dr Manmohan Singh Brar and principal Kulwant Singh Anki also attended the meeting. They said the political leaders who were instrumental in establishing the central project in Amritsar deserved due praise. On this occasion, they also handed over a demand letter to Anil Joshi.

AVM leaders said they have already submitted demands to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Congress candidate Gurjeet Singh Aujla and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Ta. They stated that their NGO was a non-political organization. Among others, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Dr. Lalit Bala and Dr. Ramesh Rampal attended the meeting.
