Bajwa details Congress’ vision for development of Amritsar

Opposition leader and senior Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa visited Amritsar to support party candidate Gurjeet Singh Aujla in the run-up to the upcoming Assembly polls.

Bajwa told mediapersons that the Bharatiya Janata Party government, led by Narendra Modi, is bent on changing India’s constitution to abolish reservations if voted to power again.

He said the vision of the Congress is to cover all strata of society, reduce the growing unemployment rate in the country and increase the income of poor families. He particularly mentioned the Mahalakshmi scheme which provides Rs 100,000 per year to every poor family.
