Jolt to Akali Dal Badal in Amritsar: Talbir Gill and others join AAP » Yes Punjab

While the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gained significant support in the Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency, the Akali Dal suffered another big blow. Shiromani Akali Dal Badal’s Amritsar South constituency in-charge Talbir Gill has joined the Aam Aadmi Party along with his associates and supporters.

Aam Aadmi Party Punjab President and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally welcomed Talbir Gill and his supporters into the party and welcomed them into the AAP family.

Talbir Gill is a famous leader of Amritsar. He enjoys good support among the people of Amritsar and surrounding villages. He has also contested the 2022 elections from the Akali Dal Badal constituency from Amritsar South Assembly constituency. He decided to leave the party due to the bad policies of the Badals and the nepotism of the Akali Dal.

In addition to Mr. Talbir Gill, Mr. Dilbagh Singh Wadali, President of Youth Akali Dal Amritsar, Mr. Sarab Singh Brar, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi, Mr. Rustam Singh Sandhu, Mr. Jasbir Singh also attended Bhagwant – Joined the Aam Aadmi Party in the presence of the Chief Minister of Mann.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said in a statement after inducting all leaders into the party that the Akali Dal was almost wiped out in Punjab. Due to the nepotism of the Badal family, Akali Dal leaders and workers are very disappointed and do not trust the party. More Akali Dal leaders are expected to quit the party in the coming days.

He said the Akali Dal’s situation in Punjab is so bad that it is also struggling to find 13 candidates for the Sabah elections.

Akali leaders are not ready to participate in elections because they know that defeat is inevitable. Mann said this plight of the Akali Dal family happened because of the bad deeds and corruption of the Badal family.
