Amritsar candidate Gurjeet Singh Aujla claims support from ex-servicemen in Congress

Congress candidate from Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency Gurjeet Singh Aujla today claimed that ex-servicemen who were upset over the Agniveer recruitment plan supported him in the polls. Aujla welcomed and thanked the ex-servicemen and said that the Congress would address all issues related to ex-servicemen once it forms the next government at the Centre. He also promised to prioritize these issues in parliament.

Ex-Servicemen Union President Sukhdev Singh, General Secretary Ratan Singh, Narinder Pal Singh Bangu, Paramjit Singh, Harjinder Singh Mal Nangal, Mather Singh, Avtar Singh, Dilbag Singh, Harjinder Singh , a delegation of ex-servicemen including Balwinder Singh, Sukhpal Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Dilbag Singh, Avtar Singh Ramdas, Kuldeep Singh, Subedar Halbage Singh, Atma Singh, Baljinder Singh He was present on the occasion and shared the issue with Aujla.

Sukhdev Singh, a retired army officer, said soldiers would be ready to fight on the border in as little as 10 years, but the Bharatiya Janata Party was cheating by conscripting soldiers for only four years. He said that earlier the slogan “Achche Din” was raised and now politics is being carried out under the guise of religion, but the welfare of the people is being ignored. That is why they are disillusioned and will give victory to the Congress, Aujira claimed.

Gurjit Singh Aujla welcomed around 300 ex-servicemen and said they were fully dedicated to their cause. He said that some politicians mislead people, but people today are wise and have a high level of consciousness, so they support working candidates.
