The area where it may have fallen was cordoned off and an extensive search was conducted. According to the release, at around 3:50 am, BSF forces successfully recovered 01 small drone and 01 bags of suspected heroin from an agricultural field in Ratankuld village of Amritsar district.

“The recovered packets (total weight approximately 560 grams) were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and metal wire rings 01 and lighting sticks 03 were also found attached to the packets,” BSF said in a release. mentioned in.

It added that the recovered drone was a quadcopter (model: DJI Mavic 3 Classic, made in China).

Similarly, in another operation on Monday, BSF troops launched a massive search operation in the suspected area based on a BSF intelligence input about the presence of drones in border areas of Amritsar district.

The BSF said in a statement that during a search operation at around 9:05 am, the army successfully recovered a Type 01 drone from a dry well in Dano-e-Khurd village of Amritsar district.

The recovered drone was identified as a Chinese-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic.

Further drone infiltration attempts across the border were thwarted due to reliable input of BSF intelligence and timely action of diligent BSF troops, it added.
