Amritsar: BBK DAV Women’s College hosted a farewell event to bid farewell to its departing students. Titled “Waqt-e-Rukhsat… Till We Meet Again!”, the event aimed to reminisce about the experiences and fun times of the students during their time at the college. The program featured captivating performances by students in dance, music and more. Principal Pushpinder Walia congratulated the students for their achievements during their time at the college and wished them luck for the future. Principal Walia encouraged the students to cultivate their inner beauty and stressed on the importance of cultivating positivity and love. He further emphasized on the transformative power of education, especially in terms of women empowerment. The highlight of the event was a fashion show, which highlighted the concepts of beauty and intelligence. Rushika from B Design was crowned Miss BBK, Nimrata from BBA won the first runner-up for the Miss BBK title, and Tamanna won the second runner-up for the Miss BBK DAV title. Moreover, Arshnoor Kaur from BBA won the title of Ms BBK Confident and Jhanvi from B Design won the title of Ms BBK Elegant.

Workshop on educational practices

The Education Department under the banner of Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society organised a training workshop on Innovative Teaching Methods for ICT Teachers for teachers of Sri Guru Harkrishan Government Higher Secondary School. To enhance teaching methods and promote innovation in the field of ICT education, a training session on “Software and Programming Fundamentals” was organised by the team from Start Coding. The training session acted as an impetus for educators to harness the power of technology in the classroom. Participants learnt how to design an engaging coding challenge.

Children’s Health Workshop

Under the guidance of Chairman Avinash Mohindroo and Principal Anita Bhalla, the Bhavans conducted a two-day capacity building workshop on health and wellness for school children which concluded on Tuesday. The lecturers were Ms. Raveena Rajput, Principal, Beas Army Public School and Mr. Menka, Principal, Tibli Army Public School.
